I did not know Danielle, but in one brief moment she had a profound impact to my life. I was a passing motorist that got to the scene about a minute after it happened. I went to her car to see if I could help. I help her passenger out of the car and then came back to check on her. Sadly there was nothing I could do. If her parent happen to read this please call me at work. (937) 223-2889, I would like to speak with you, or meet with you if you are in the Dayton area.

I met Danielle briefly about a year ago. She was a very likable person that didn't deserve to die because some jerk was in a hurry. I hope this will haunt you for the rest of your life.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this since the day it happened. I drove past the scene as the officers had it already started investigation and saw the news reporter. I would have never thought it had been anyone I knew. When I pulled through the gate that day I spoke with the gate guard who told me the news but no name. For some reason I can't explain it, but as I drove on her name popped in my head, I told myself "no don't think like that!". Monday I saw the scene on the news and I was more than shocked! It's hard to take in. I wasn't ever really that close to Danielle but we were friends and I went through AF tech school with her. I think this has changed my life forever and I just want to say god bless to her and her family.

I'm her youngest brother. Danielle was the best sister anyone could ask for. She had amazing grades in school, and fairly decent street smarts. Dani was there with me through pretty much anything. Well I can't just say with me, with anyone. Anything that anybody needed, she would stop at nothing until she could answer your question. There was times when I asked her something, than weeks later she would answer it and I would have no idea what she was talking about.

I miss her soo much, she was a great sister, friend, and she taught me so much about life.

I just want her to know that I'll always love her, and there will always be a place in my heart for her.

I have spent almost every single waking and sleeping moment at Jimmy's side. He is a very dear friend of mine. I never had the chance to meet Danielle but i'm sure she was amazing. Julie, he is doing better. I am home now for a minute to shower and head back. He actually walked today for the first time. Yes, only to the door but still it was awesome! If anyone wants to check on jimmy's status feel free to call me anytime. The hospital has bad reception but I will call you back if i can... (325)-212-9619.

I worked with Danielle on the same floor we were on the same shift at times. My heart broke when i received a call on Sat night from our ncoic. She was the most genuine person I have known I dont even know her real eye color she always had lavendar contacts. She would get so excited about going to anime conventions she was so happy when her red contacts came in. she would do this cute little dance and make cat noises.I am so lucky I got to spend the time i did with her she had such a bright spirit and strong character she will be greatly missed.

It's the same John as the last message(ohherecomesjohn@aol.com). Just wanted to let everyone know, I think it's important for those close to her who may not. The Wright-Patt Med center had a memorial service for Danielle today, she was posthumously awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal. It was very moving and powerful. Danielle deserved nothing less. It was really great to see her honored like that.

Eric Hutchins, I am glad that you cared enough to stop after the accident. SrA Brinser would have been thankful for you, and would have done the same, as she was a caring person. I was on Honor Guard with her, and it is still shocking to know that she is dead and I will no longer work with her. Like John said, she was awarded the achievement medal, for a job well done. She will be sorely missed by the WPAFB Honor Guard.

I went to high school with Danielle when she was living in Ottumwa. We were in JROTC together. She was always willing to help, and offer advice. She could always make you laugh. I'll never forget some of the memories we shared together.

I first want to send out my thoughts and prayers to Danielle's family. I did not know her but read alot about her. She had her whole life ahead of her, she was so young. I know the driver of the vehicle that was so careless to not stop at the light. He is a troubled young man that should be held accountable for his wreckless behavior. I think they should take a blood test from him because he is a drug addict. He has crashed every car that he has owned. You could say we were once friends throughout high school. I think if not prosecuted he should never be allowed to drive again. He has three prior DUI offenses (That I'm aware of) not to mention a number of drug related charges. My heart goes out to Danielle's family, friends, co-workers and anyone whos live's she was involved in. I assure you all, Nick Hart will forever remember that day. And may you rest in peace Danielle Brinser.

I also know Nicholas and agree with the last posted comment but with some reserve about his self-guilt. Maybe it has not sunk into him yet, but I've witnessed no noticable remorse or changable difference in his lifestyle since. I heard he was not treated for injuries..? Yet on the following Friday, he visited a/his doctor, on the grounds that he fell down some stairs...I also heard he's having a party this weeked. This is shameless and disgusting behavior. I fear that a blood test might be too late and this piece of crap will get away with murder.

On the matter of Nick, He will not get away with murder. I know or have heard of people that were sober with a perfect driving record getting in accidents and taking a innocent life. They were charged with vehicular manslauhter, or something in that line of charges. Im no lawyer, but I feel he will get whats coming to him. I believe in Karma. I just cant believe that a young girl had to lose her life due to such wrecklessness. He probably got messed up and fell down his stairs to get perscribed more pills. I hope they throw the book at him.

It appears to me that Danielle was a single person. The family in Iowa can open an estate and sue the tavern where the other driver was drinking. If they need direction they should call me and I'll be happy to locate an attorney in Ohio and in Iowa that can assist. She must have been a wonderful person, it's remarkable how many of you have commented and equally remarkable how this blog post has brought together all that knew her. Keep it up and I'm happy to have brought you all together. Steve

Steve, What do you mean by Danielle was a single person?

And just for the record, Nick wasn't drinking. I have spoken with the on site authorities and investigators. As much as I dissagree with Nick's actions they were not alcohol related. Please get your facts straight. Rumors can do more damage than the truth! I don't want Danielles wonderful family loosing sleep at night wondering if maybe the police missed something or there was something else going on than what really happened. James, Athena, Connie, Jared, Taylor, your family can call me anytime you want. Athena Has my number!

A single person: Not married.
As for what the other driver was doing: I haven't read the investigative report, it's not available to me. I've reviewed the comments, indicating drinking was involved. See Scott Williams comment above. These aren't rumors, Mr. Williams seems to know the situation. Hope all is well with the family.

Drinking may have been involved in previous situations but not this one. I know the situation as i have been with the other injured person for 8 straight days after the accident. I was there when the State Trooper came to the hospital. Please just trust me.

I never said nick was drunk. I mentioned he had crashed every car he has owned. He has been charged with THREE PRIOR DUI OFFENSES! There is no way the police would have let him go home that day if he was falling down drunk. Im saying he eats pills to the point where he cant talk. Xanax, Klonopin, Methadone, Oxycontin, Herion, cocain. Again all things that wouldnt make you blow over the limit. And like I have said before if they would have done a blood test, we wouldnt be having this conversation.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Danielle's family. Danielle was a student of mine at Ottumwa HS. I met Danielle through her sister Athena and had the pleasure of working with both of them in the color guard (flags). Danielle was a great young lady and she will be greatly missed.

I wanted to tell Dani's family that they are in my prayers. I just found out about what happened and was crushed. Dani made such an impact in a short period of time. I'll miss her dearly.
