Honolulu, Hawaii – June 2006 – Kanehoe-bound in the Halawa bound lanes of the H-3 near Halawa Valley Road at 3:45 a.m. on June 17, 2006. He was intoxicated with a BAC of 0.16. He crashed head-on into a car with a single-mother of two school-age children, all died at the scene. One month to the day the wrong-way driver died.

Toledo, OHIO – Suit was filed against the wrong-way driver and the bar that served him alcohol by the husband of the wife and four children who died in the wrong-way crash. The wrong-way driver is serving 43 years in prison for the crash.

Los Angles, California – This wrong-way driver fled on foot escaping officers and responsibility for this wrong-way crash on I-57, Orange freeway. He was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes at approximately 2:39 a.m. The wrong-way truck was stolen.

Charlotte, North Carolina – June 2009 – A wrong-way drunk-driver was arrested after traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-85 in Charlotte and causing a car accident. The 57-year-old was arrested and released on $5,000.

Topeka, Kansas – A wrong-way crash that took a life occurred in the west-bound lanes of I-70. She was later charged with involuntary manslaughter and driving while under the influence of alcohol. The driver was 38-years-old and the 27-year-old driver of the no-fault vehicle died. The accident occurred around 10:47 pm.
