Take a look at this Lakewood, Ohio video tape of a policman using the Taser on a dog. Each time the officer uses the Taser for some unexplained reason the Taser’s camera lens gets blocked with what looks to be something having the color of human skin. The story is brought to you by News 5 in Ohio. The movie clip is to the right of the story.

Is the Taser being used too frequently and impulsively? Here we have what must have been a very dangerous deer that needed to be Tasered. Actually this deer gets better treatment than many of the human arrestees who are Tasered.

And what is this about? From December 11, 2006 this video is said to be a promo for Taser use. Is it? How about Taser admitting or denying it is there product or not?

It's an ANIMAL Taser, made especially for animals and lawyers you blood sucking personal injury trial lawyer (Yuk!). Don't you know, Taser Saves Lives Everyday. All you think about is sueing someone. Just remember Taser is 90 to 1 against scum like you and the one will be overturned on appeal (and figured Taser was only 15% and the crackhead was 85%).

Mr. Brock: On the contrary I'm asking for exactly the opposite; I'm tired of my tax dollars being wasted on things that don't work. Taser's are causing more litigation not less. Your attempt to attack me, a personal injury lawyer, for reporting on the news as it happens is a sad commentary on your ability for critical thinking. Instead of resorting to the kindergarten game of name calling how about if you instead focus on the Taser, anatomy and physiology. Or is that not covered on the latest TV sitcom? Perhaps reading and thinking more could be something you might consider.

Very good point Steve. It would be great for all of us if these things stop being used or at the very least stopped getting misused.

The similarity to the "phaser" from Star Trek is telling. They require practically no physical strength, skill, or training to use, either. No kickback, no noise, no blood, and it sure teaches some someone a lesson about power.

Tasers are here to stay, not for better but for worse. No police officer will forgo having them as a defensive weapon, and misuse is inevitable. They're already available to civilians.

There really isn't a solution, short of a succession of huge settlements that drive the point home. I don't think that's the trend, however.
