If a truck has doors how can a driver be thrown from the vehicle while rounding a curve?

This is a curious accident. It’s a single vehicle accident from Crawford County, Iowa. A man was thrown from his own pickup truck as he rounded a corner. After being thrown he was pinned and died. The accident happened north of Kiron on U.S. Highway 59.

No further details were available from either the Des Moines Register or the Kiron News. The identity of the driver and further details were not disclosed. The Iowa Highway Patrol report hasn’t yet been issued.

I'll follow this accident and report further as more details come to light.

Doors should not fly open when you turn a corner. Sounds like a manufacturing defect.
