Weather getting warmer, the motorcycle body count can begin

Two people riding a motorcycle in Iowa County were taken to the hospital by life flight after a pickup truck failed to yield the right away, made a left turn and struck the motorcycle. The collision occurred at 212 Boulevard, ½ mile west of I Avenue 4 miles west of Marengo.

Here we do again. The body count will go up and up and up. There has to be some way to increase the visibility of motorcycles. Turning on the front headlight would help. Since March 9, 2009 there have been over 50 car and truck wrecks investigated by the Iowa State Patrol. That doesn’t county sheriffs or local police departments.

I checked YouTube and one Motorcycle Safety Ad proposed a pretty novel idea.
