The news report is a wall of rebar at the Gateway construction site “just became loose and collapsed” on top of two construction workers.

Can a construction wall suddenly just fall on construction workers?

"Are you kidding?"

"Oh yeah the sky fell in right after the wall collapsed. And then clouds suddenly came loose and fell on top of the construction site. And did you hear that then a star also fell on top of the clouds that were weighing down on the construction site, the rebar and the construction workers?"

"No way?"

"Way Wayne! And when it happened no one was looking because Tinker Bell was flying by."

"Way cool Garth!"

Remember the news title blaiming the snow and slippery roadway for causing an accident? Let’s take a step back to my driveway with the snow on it, a car sitting there and it all being slippery. Someone explain to me how without a driver there will be an accident the winter weather could possibly cause?

Wake up America, stop looking to blame anything but people for what goes wrong; this is how the whole credit crisis began. Why do you think Madoff had such an easy time stealing over $60 Billion? They ask you to believe there is a free lunch; you want to believe it and Madison Avenue convinces you there is a winning lottery ticket in everything the politicians promise. And you believe them? Oh there is my Uncle Leo talking again.

When I was young my aunt and uncle moved to Florida. He was the senior vice president of Flying Tigers Airlines. Brilliant man; Irish and looking just like Tim Russert. I loved the man. One of the greatest men I ever met. He simply told the truth. I loved seeing him and my Aunt Irene. Well Irene was alright but Leo was a special treat. Returning to New England he told me all about the people up north who came down south and bought the dream of a lifetime; a “vacation lot”; swamp land you dopes.

Weather doesn't cause cars, trucks and motorcycles to have accidents; people do.

Rebar doesn't suddenly without reason come crashing down. Let's face it rebar doesn't float up off the ground and wire ties don't just become untied by fairies with a bag full of fairy dust. This is insurance company speak for "You don't have to see it, just trust me, have I got a lot for you!"

So can a construction wall suddenly just fall on construction workers? Sure in the movies it can.
