Two sleeping labor workers were killed with a load of sand was dumped at the location where they were sleeping.

In another incident three pedestrians and seventeen workers were injured by a falling iron bar. The bar is reported to have bent, failed and then fallen onto the people below. Two of the three pedestrians were three-year old girls.

Wearing a hard hat is a key component to worker safety along with keeping an eye out from what may fall. A properly designed site will maintain pedestrians from danger zones.
